'PAMPER YOUR POOCH'

How about this lovely pink and blue knitted doggy pullover.  It is a little bit on the small side for my little megan but she was very good at modelling it for me, she is sooooo cute !!

I think I shall have to make a slightly bigger one for her seeing as she was so good, don't you agree?

CUSHION COVERS

Here are two cushion covers I have made on my sewing machine.  They are both quilted and have a plain back.  This is my first attempt at this type of quilting and I am very pleased with it.

KNITTED BLANKET

Here is a smaller blanket this time a knitted version with two shades of yarn.  I have taken two photos so you can see the pattern a bit clearer.  This blanket only measures about 18" square but is still quite cute and very soft and cuddly for little fingers.

THANK YOU

I would just like to say a big 'Thank You' to my daughter, Catherine http://www.catherinegreenauthor.blogspot/ for setting me up on this blog site.  She has been 'nagging' me for quite a while to get my work online for all to see, so I hope you enjoy.

A BIT OF CROCHET

As promised I now have some pictures of things I have made.

The blanket below is crocheted and is ideal for a cot/crib.  I tried different shades of yarn to give a different effect and thought the pastel shades would be ideal for a baby/child, hope you all like it.

How It All Started

Hi, my name is Karen and I would like to introduce myself to you all as a new blogger.  I am a divorced mother of 3 adult children and I live with my youngest daughter, Emily and my dog Megan.

In November 2007 I was taken ill at work and subsequently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia.  I went from working full time, going to the gym and socialising, to losing my ability to do all the things I used to love and take for granted.  As a result of this I have had to re-evaluate my life and I re-discovered my love of crafting.

I focus on textiles, knitting and crocheting, where I can work on projects according to my physical ability.  I am still developing on the crochet front but am getting there.  Over the coming months I am hoping to be able to share my crafts with you all - I will post photos of my projects and would welcome any feedback from fellow crafters and those who would just like to have a browse.

Here is a little cushion I made for my new and first granddaughter, Elliot, for her nursery.
